With nearly 10 years of experience, Christine has provided occupational therapy services to clients with a special interest in supporting their day-to-day goals. She is passionate about advocating for what matters to the client. She offers a range of services, including assessment, treatment planning, and interventions using client-centered/evidence-based methods, and holistic approaches. Christine believes in working collaboratively with clients, families and other stakeholders to inspirit lives.

Occupational therapy services offered include:

​

  •  Home Safety and Functional Independence Assessments (home modifications, aids to daily living, falls risk assessments, memory/cognitive assessments, kitchen safety assessments, equipment provision, level 1 driving assessments)

  • Assessing for specialized equipment needs and promptly acquiring loaner equipment until securing funding for permanent or long-term use equipment through agencies such as: Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL), Non-insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Innuit (NIHB), Veterans Affairs, Easter Seals, The MS Society and others

  • Assessing Level of Care and providing clinical opinion on appropriate options for public and/or private Homecare, Supportive Living, Long-term Care options, Hospice and Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID)

  •  Mental health support and use of psychotherapeutic techniques for anxiety, depression, PTSD (etc.) that draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Art Therapy, exposure therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and more

  • House Design Consultation (Universal design for various mobility abilities, barrier-free design, wheelchair-accessible design, aging-in-place)

  • Return to function after injury or disability.  What are your strengths  and how will you support your mental health in the process? Is your goal to return to your previous role or are we able to explore opportunities better suited to your aims

  •  Joint-replacement (arthroplasty) pre and post surgery management for planned or unplanned surgeries; what to expect, what equipment to have in place, post-operation precautions and restrictions, arranging for home care services to provide hands-on assistance for your personal care, post-op exercise recommendations

  •  Professional Teaching Services (Caregiver training in mechanical-lifts, transfers, wheelchair assessment and prescription, sensory integration treatment and management)

  •  Case Management (goal setting, development of care plans, coordinating professional and community services)

  •  On-line audio and video consultations are available for some services offered
